“Sup tom,
Do a season edit, bruv” – Paul Oates
Here’s a little token season edit of my time indoors and in France, hope you enjoy it.
Just managed to have a read of an article of me in S1 Magazine. Big thank you to Ed Miller for his stunning photos and Charlotte for her awesome job in writing up and interviewing me.
It’s a different article than others, this one is more about how I got into snowboarding and the story behind it.
I hope you enjoy reading it!

The End In Morzine
My time here has been a real eye opener, I understand now what is involved and what is expected of me in order to succeed. At the beginning of this season I was excited to begin training and competing, and since my first competition was within 3 days of arriving in resort, I felt truly out of my element. Since then, my confidence has improved tenfold, along with my abilities. I really feel that I am on the direct path to the winter Olympics, which is now my long term goal. I intend to make the most of this opportunity and I hope to be competing at the top level in the Olympics in 2018. I know now what has to be done and have no doubt that, with the help of everyone involved, this will become a reality. This is what I want and am willing to make every sacrifice necessary to make it happen.
I have met so many people who I am now glad to call my friends. They have helped me so much during my time here. Also, many thanks to Yodel and Skiidy Gonzales airport transfers for their support.
I am now looking forward to summer, and have begun to lay out a training regime in preparation for winter 2012-13. I’ll be training harder than ever, riding as much as possible at Sno!Zone Castleford, trampoline training, circuits, dry land and gym training.
To all of my donors from this year, thank you so much for your contributions, there will be a special update for you all soon. This season would not have been possible without you.
This winter has been a real blessing, thanks to everyone once again for helping to make it happen. If anyone has any feedback on my website and blog then please get in touch.

A run through the stash in Avoriaz with Marlies, Jen and PJ. For those who don’t know, check it, the stash is a natural snowboard park!
Off to Austria tomorrow to the snowboard test. It’s where all the snowboard companies meet up to try out next seasons gear. I’m well excited, expect a video edit showing you what it’s about soon!
Marlies let me loose with her camera this past tuesday. I used it to try and show you what typically happens during my free time.
Chilling with Jen on the bus on the way to the ski lift

By now the day is wrapping up, the snow was getting really slushy and the cloud had come in covering the sun. A perfect time for me to start doing some tricks i’ve been working on, on the bigger jump.
It’s been snowing everyday since then now. The plan for next week is to get some filming done going through some offpiste tree runs. Fingers crossed it’s going to be awesome.
